Weather: -1 °C, no Moon. Good, but dew on the corrector lens.

Brightness: 2           Alt: 30°
Description: A bright and large cluster, diameter about 20'.
Strongly elongated W-E. The most obvious feature is a chain of
bright (mag. 7-9) stars running W-E. About 30 stars within 20'.
Trumpler class 'IV 2 p' is OK. Fades slowly to the background.
