Description: A chain of 3 galaxies oriented SW-NE. The brightest
galaxy in the field is NGC 3430: Almost round, moderately
concentrated. 

NGC 3424 is an edge-on galaxy 5.5' SW of -30. It was seen as a
thin needle of light, PA 100°. Slightly concentrated. 

NGC 3413 is the faintest with this telescope. It has a small
core which was quite easy with averted vision. The surrounding
glow was extremely faint. PA about 20°? 16' SW of -30.  

The interacting pair NGC 3395-96 is 30' W.
