Brightness: all 5 Alt: Description: With 40x something is visible on the S side of the 12th mag. "central star". 133x: Much better. The brightest galaxy on the S side is NGC 3753 & -4, seen as a illdefined elliptical (2.5:1) glow. Very faint. PA 170. ngc 3753: (14.6m (p), 2'x0.6',Sabp? sp). About 40'' SSW is NGC 3750 (15.2m(p), 0.9'x0.7', SAB0-?): Very small, not concentrated. About 2.5' S is NGC 3751: (15.5m(p), 0.4'x0.3',S0-p?) Very small, extremely faint, a bit concentrated. About 3' NW of the brightest one are NGC 3646 and NGC3648. -46 is the W one (15.3m(p), 1.3'x0.7',SB(r)b): Elliptical (1.5:1), very faint, somewhat concentrated. NGC 4648 (15.5m(p), 0.8'x0.3', SB0: sp) eeF. Barely visible. Summary: A group of very faint galaxies but still within reach of a 8-incher. Nothing seen without averted vision.
