Brightness: Alt: 25ø Description: M 78: Almost round. Bright and brightest around the wide (line-of-sight) double on the W edge. A third much fainter star is within the faint outher parts towards SSW. Diam 4.5'. NGC 2071: Surrounds a mag. 8 star. Size about 3'x2'. Somewhat V-shaped opening (wide) towards S. Even surface brightness. NGC 2067: Extremely faint, elongated SW-NE. Place somewhat uncertain but there certainly is 'something' in this area. NGC 2064 was not looked for.
