Brightness: 3, 3, 3 Alt: Description: ngc 4564: 3'x1'. A mag 13.5 stellar nucleus surrounded by a quite strongly concentrated glow. Brightest of 3. (11.1m (v), 3.6'x1.5', E) ngc 4567: The northern and smaller of the interacting pair. Somewhat more concentrated than -68. Size 2.7'x2'. A eF stellar nucleus was visible. PA about 80° ngc 4568: Size 3.5'x2.3'. Slightly concentrated. Elliptical 2:1. The E edge is better defined than the others. A dust lane? The -67/-68 is one of the most beautiful pairs I've ever seen. The galaxies are of low surface brightness and good weather is an absolute must when viewing these jewels of the night sky. The pair seems to be strongly 3-dimensional (visible even in the drawing)
