About a year ago, I was chatting with the manager of the Kite Loft here in DC and she mentioned that someone had recently talked to her about getting the Hyper 16. She spoke to the folks at Cobra and they had all sorts of questions for her, such as "how does this person plan on using this kite." The upshot of it all was that they still made/sold the kite, but they didn't really encourage people to buy it. It's not so much a kite as a power generator. You might want to drop a letter directly to Cobra Kites inquiring about it. Cobra Kites P.O. Box 1086 Island Heights, NJ 08732 (908)-506-0461 While we're sort of on the subject, many thanks to John Nicol for his informative post on making a Speedfoil. I've been contemplating building some such beast and I think I've made the switch to actually planning to build one in the near future. You mean Andy King? I checked Kite Store's price lists (90-91) but they only listed 12 foot Flexi. Call them +44-71-8361666 (fax +44-71-8362510) 16 Flexi might have done a comeback, too.
