What: Kite building class for kids (10:30 until 11:30) and a fun fly for all Bald Mountain Kite Club members and to any other interested kitefliers in the North Georgia area. Where: Sandy Creek Park in Athens, Georgia. The park is located on a clearly marked and signed road off highway 441 about 3 miles north of by-pass and about 1 mile south/inside of the county line. (Do not confuse the park with the nature center. They are separate facilities.) Cost: The normal $1 per person fee to enter the park will be waived for any kite fliers identifying themsleves as being part of the Bald Mountain Kite Club. Sponsor: The city/county liesure services department. All kitefliers are invited to be there to fly and demonstrate their kites as the kids finish the workshop. They will make and fly trash bag sled kites. Stay and enjoy one of the very best kite flying sites in all of north Georgia for the rest of the day. The park has a nice lake, picnic areas, trails, etc. I will be traveling on business that weekend or I would encourage you to find me there that day. May the gods send you fair and consistent breezes. Jim Feldt, Athens, Georgia, USA, Earth = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = = =
