Subject: Kite pictures in alt.binaries.pictures.misc Hi. As promised, I scanned some of the photos I made in Scheveningen at the "Nationale-Nederlanden Vliegerfeest 1993" and will post them the next days - a few each day - to alt.binaries.pictures.misc, starting tomorrow. Because of a mail volume limit we have in hanse.de at the moment, I can't send one or more of the pictures to anyone, so if you are interested in them, check alt.binaries.pictures.misc in time. Wes Voss offered to put them onto the FTP server in Hawaii (ftp.hawaiin.edu) (thanks Wes), so that people who missed them or don't have access to a.b.p.m will still be able to get them (Wes, are you listening?). Here comes a short description of each one. A66.JPG ------- The German team A66 which take part in the competition for two-lined stunt kites is relaxing here by "decorating" a pole with Revolutions. ASIAN.JPG --------- A white one-liner with a painted Asian picture on it. COLREV.JPG ---------- A Revolution with a nice (IMHO) patchwork-like sewn sail. DEC1.JPG -------- The Decorators showing a figure. Picture 1 of 2. In this one the figure is not ready yet. DEC2.JPG -------- In this picture the figure is complete. DEC-AC.JPG ---------- In this one the Decorators together with Aircraft build a chain of six Revolutions. ELEPHANT.JPG ------------ One of the elephant four-lined kites used in the fairy tale performed at the opening of the festival. FISH.JPG -------- A "Kugelfisch" (sorry, don't know the English term) build by or after Peter Lynn, I think. FROG1.JPG --------- A frog, build by Juergen Ebbinghaus. FROG2.JPG --------- The same frog, shot from another angle. FUNFACE.JPG ----------- A two-lined stunt kite. The sail shows an angry face. ONELINE1.JPG ------------ A colorful one-liner. Sorry, don't know the name if it has one. ONELINE2.JPG ------------ A beautiful one-liner that seems to glow inside. ONELINE3.JPG ------------ A nice one-liner also. ONELINE4.JPG ------------ The same kite as in ONELINE1.JPG, shot from another angle. ONELINE5.JPG ------------ A big (as if the other's weren't) one-liner with a flat long tail looking like carpet's swen together. ROTOR1.JPG ---------- Two colored rotors fastened to the line of a kite. ROTOR2.JPG ---------- Two rotors fastened to the line of a kite. These are white with black "thorns" attached to it. SAL-GEC.JPG ----------- The Salamander an the Gecko from Peter Lynn and the German? person flying side by side. SCHEVE.JPG ---------- A view along the beach of Scheveningen with a lot of kites in the sky. STUNT.JPG --------- A nice two-lined stunt-kite.
