This version can replace the mh-6.8.bin.tar.Z, the only difference is that this version has bboards enabled. ------------------------------------------------------------------ This is MH 6.8 for Linux, configured for sendmail and with bboards enabled. Install in /usr/local/mh, libmh-6.8.so.5 should be in /lib or should be linked to /lib. You should add this entry to /etc/passwd before you unpack the tar file (change the uid if you already have this one in use): bboards:*:88:1::/usr/spool/bboards:/bin/csh The bboards directory should be moved or linked to /usr/spool, this directory and all files and directories below it should be owned by bboards. These three other files should be owned by bboards: 120 5 -rwsr-xr-x 1 bboards wheel 4796 Mar 26 01:40 /usr/local/mh/bin/bbl 88 1 -rw-r--r-- 1 bboards wheel 70 Mar 26 01:39 /usr/local/mh/etc/BBoardAliases 134 9 -rwsr-xr-x 1 bboards wheel 8548 Mar 26 01:40 /usr/local/mh/etc/sbboards sendmail should be in /usr/lib/sendmail, but this can be configured in /usr/local/mh/etc/mtstailor. This must be a real sendmail, you can't use a shell script or local mailer. The directory xtra contains some files that are normally not installed, but may be of interest. I compiled MH with gcc 1.40 with a heavily patched library, there were no real patches for MH necessary, just some function call hooks for the non-dynamic-linked shared library. Branko Lankester
